JLPT N4 Grammar lesson 11. Hi everyone! In this article, LearnJapanesedaily will introduce to you the JLPT N4 Grammar. Each lesson will consist of about 5 structures for you to learn step by step and have more time to practice.

Grammar structure number 51 :

~ものか

Formation :

V (short form)+ものか
Aい+ものか
Aな+ものか
N+な+ものか

Explanation :

can’t be, can’t have been, there’s no way
in spoken from, it is もんか or ものだろうか

Example and meaning :

1.あんなまずい店(みせ)、二度(にど)と行(い)くものか。
There’s no way I will come to a bad store like this a second time.
2.負(ま)けるもんか、今度(こんど)絶対(ぜったい)勝(か)つぞ。
There’s no way I lose, I’ll definitely win this time.

Grammar structure number 52 :

~ものの~

Formation :

Vる/Vた+ ものの

Explanation :

However, Although/though/Despite of…but..

Example and meaning :

1.大雪が吹いたものの、学校かっこうへ来きた
Despite of the heavy snow, (but) I go to school anyway
2.やりたくないものの、やらせられる。
Althought I didn’t want to do it, (but) I was forced to.

Grammar structure number 53 :

~やすい~

Formation :

Vます (remove ます)+やすい

Explanation :

easy to do something, やすい divide like adjectives that end with い

Example and meaning :

1.その料理(りょうり)は作(つく)りやすいです。
That dish is easy to cook.
2.地図(ちず)があったらその店(みせ)を探(さが)しやすい。
If I have a map, I can find that store easily.

Grammar structure number 54 :

~ようです

Formation :

Vる/Vた+ようです
Nのようです
Aいようです
Aなようです

Explanation :

look like, seem like
express subjective anticipations of the speaker, something go with どうも

Example and meaning :

1.その前(まえ)交通事故(こうつうじこ)があったようです。
Looks like there’s a car accident up front.
2.顔色(かおいろ)が赤(あか)くて、熱(ねつ)があるようです。
You face looks red, you seem like sick.

Grammar structure number 55 :

~ように

Formation :

Vる/Vない+ように

Explanation :

to do something

Example and meaning :

1.覚おぼ)えられるように書か)いてください。
To remember, write it out.
2.間違(まちが)わないように気(き)をつけて。
To not make mistakes, be careful.
