アナウンサー：それでは、到着便の変更をお案内いたします。マレーシア航空88便のクアラルンプール発は、1時間20分遅れて、8時15分に到着。12時２０分が定刻のノースウエスト28便マニラ発は、40分早く、11時40分に到着。ユナイテッド航空827便ホノルル発は、1時間15分遅れて15時ちょうどに到着の予定です。
12時20分に着くはずの飛行機は、どうなりますか。

This is traffic information on the radio. What happens to the airplane that should arrive at 12:20?
Announcer: Well then, we would like to announce the change of arrival time. Malaysia Airlines flight 88 from Kuala Lumpur will arrive at 8:15, one hour and 20 minutes late. Northwest Airlines flight 28 from Manila scheduled to arrive at 12:20 will arrive 40 minutes early at 11:40. United Airlines flight 827 from Honolulu scheduled to arrive at 15:00 will be 1 hour 15 minutes late.

In this form of listening, we need to pay attention to the information relating to the airplane that should arrive at 12:20. And you should also focus on key words instead of trying to hear all the sentences then missing important words.

定刻（ていこく）: appointed time, schedule
ノースウエスト: Northwest Airlines
28便（２８びん）: flight 28
マニラ発（まにらはつ）: from Manila
40分早く: 40 minutes early
11時40分に到着（とうちゃく）: to arrive at 11:40
3. Choosing the answer:
According to what we have noted, we can deduct:
+ The flight that should arrive at 12:20 is flight 28
+ 40 minutes early (40分早く): It will arrive at 11:40 (11時40分に到着)
+ 到着 and つくhave the same meaning (to arrive)
So we choose answer 3. 11時40分につく
