JLPT N2 Grammar lesson 28. Hi everyone! In this article, LearnJapanesedaily will introduce to you the JLPT N2 Grammar. Each lesson will consist of about 5 structures for you to learn step by step and have more time to practise.
Structure 136:
N1も Vば N2も VるN1も Aければ N2も AいN1も Aなら N2も AなだN1も Nなら N2も Nだ
Explanation:
N1 and N2 also ~
For example:
彼は素敵な男で、仕事もできれば料理もできる。
Kare wa suteki na otoko de, shigoto mo dekireba ryouri mo dekiru.
He is a nice guy who can both work and cook.
甘い食べ物が好きな人もいれば、嫌いな人もいる。
Amai tabemono ga suki na hito mo ireba, kirai na hito mo iru.
Some people like sweets, and others don’t.
Structure 137:
Vる/ Vない/Aい/ Aくない/ Aな + ものだ/もんだ
Explanation:
To be (to emphasize), to be ~ things.
For example:
薬は苦いものだ。
Kusuri wa nigai monoda.
Medicines are bitter things.
人の心は読めないものだ。
Hito no kokoro wa yomenai monoda.
People’s minds are unreadable things.
Structure 138:
Vる ものではない/もんじゃない
Explanation:
Should not do something.
For example:
ここにゴミを捨てるものではない。
Koko ni gomi wo suteru mono dewanai.
You shouldn’t throw trash here.
あんなひどいことを言うものではない。
Anna hidoi koto wo iu mono dewanai
You shouldn’t say such rude things.
Structure 139:
Vる/ Aな/ N+ というものだ/というもんだ
Explanation:
To explain, talk about something indispensable.
For example:
今日中にこれを全部終わらせるのは無理というものだ。
Kyouchuu ni kore wo zenbu owaraseru no wa muri to iu monoda.
Can’t finish it all today, this is impossible.
他人の意見を無視するのはわがままというものだ。
Tanin no iken wo mushi suru no wa wagamama to iu monoda.
It’s selfish to ignore others’ opinions.
Structure 140:
Vる/ A/ Nな + ものか/ものですか
Explanation:
Absolutely not ~/ Definitely not.
No way that…
For example:
あんな人、二度と会うものか。
Anna hito, nido to au monoka.
There is no way I will meet that person again.
誰がこんなつまらない映画を見るものか。
Dare ga konna tsumaranai eiga wo miru monoka.
Who will watch such a boring movie?
