Describe a small quantity of something or small number of times. But it sometimes describes a large quantity of something.

Example:

このパーティーに参加する人は何人もいないだろう。
kono pa-thi- ni sanka suru hito ha nannin mo inai darou
The number of people attending this party is probably no more than a few people.

彼と喧嘩しない日は何日もない。
kare to kenka shinai hi ha nannichi monai
There are hardly any day that I don’t fight with him.

彼と強力するチャンスは何度もない。
kare to kyouryoku suru chansu ha nando mo nai
There are not many chances to cooperate with him.

この地方で家は何軒もないだろう。
kono chihoude ie ha nanken mo nai darou
There are not many houses in this area.

残っている卵は何個もない。
nokotte iru tamago ha nanko mo nai
There are not many eggs left.
