Meaning and how to use :

Describe the meaning “can’t do something that is impossible”. This structure emphasizes something that you can’t do.

Example:

彼は重い病気で死んだ。助けられないものは助けられないものだ。
Kare ha omoi byouki de shinda. tasukerarenai mono ha tasukerarenai mono da.
He died of a serious illness. What can’t be helped is still impossible to help.

どんなに注意されても覚えられないものは覚えられないものだ。
Donna ni chuuisaretemo oboerarenai mono ha oboerarenai mono da.
I can’t remember what I can’t remember no matter how much I was reminded.

どんなに頼まれても手伝えないものは手伝えない。
Donna ni tanomaretemo tetsudaenai mono ha tetsudaenai.
No matter how much I was asked, what can’t be helped is still impossible to help.

いくら勉強しても実際に応用できないものは応用できない。
Ikura benkyou shitemo jissai ni ouyou dekinai mono ha ouyou dekinai.
No matter how much I study, what can’t be applied to reality is still not applicable.

秘密なので見せられないものは見せられない。
Himitsu nanode miserarenai mono ha miserarenai.
Because it’s a secret, what can’t be told is still impossible to tell.

Note: This structure usually goes with 「ても」
