アナウンサー：明日から3連休という方も多いと思います。では、気になるお天気です。北海道は、日本海側を中心にあいにくの雨ですが。20日月曜日には晴れるでしょう。東北の太平洋側から関東地方は週末は晴れますが。3日目は曇りのち雨。九州から沖縄にかけては、3日間とも晴れて厚くなるでしょう。

It is a weather forecast for TV. Which does represent the weather in Tokyo?
Announcer: I think that there are many people having three consecutive holidays from tomorrow. Then, it is the weather you are interested in. Unfortunately, Hokkaido is rain mainly around the Japan Sea side. It will be sunny on Monday the 20th. The Kanto region from the Pacific side of Tohoku is sunny at weekends. The third day is cloudy and then rain. Between Kyushu and Okinawa, it will be sunny and hot for three days.

1. Catch the topic and the question and predict the content of the listening

Picture 2: 18日、19日：晴れ (18t, 19th rainny)、20日：曇り時々雨 (20th, cloudy- rainny)
Picture 3: 18日、19日、20日：晴れ (18th, 19th, 20th: sunny)
Picture 4: 18日、19日：曇り (18, 19th: cloudy)、20日：曇り時々晴れ (20th: cloudy, sunny)

2. Note the main ideas:
With the type of listening about the weather, we can relate and focus on the words that describe the weather like sunshine, rain, clouds, .. information related to time and place. With the type of listening-choosing picture, we should focus on the key words instead of trying to hear the whole sentence but to lose the important words. After listening, we have some key words like:
北海道, 雨, 20日月曜日には晴れる: Hokkaido, rainny, 20th-sunny
関東地方, 週末-晴れ, 3日目-曇りのち雨: Kanto, weekend-sunny, 3th day-cloudy, rainy
九州から沖縄にかけて, 3日間-晴れて厚くなる: From Kyushu to Okinawa, sunny in 3 days.
3. Choosing the answer:
Anwer is 2
First of all, you can immediately remove answer 4 because the information does not appear in the post.
There are 3 answers remaining.
First key about Hokkaido weather => answer 1 is not correct
Answer 3 about the weather from Kyushu to Okinawa => answers 3 is not corect
Because Tokyo belongs to a part of Kanto region, answer 2 about the weather with Kanto is also the answer about Tokyo’s weather => choose answer 2.
