男の人がDVDを借りようとしています。男の人はいつDVDを返す予定ですか。
女：新作が1枚、こちらのご利用は…
男：あ、それ、新作かあ、いくらですか。
女：当日ですと、旧作と同じ350円ですが、明日のご返却は400円、あさってが500円と、100円増しになっていきますが…
男：そうなんだなあ、じゃ、明日…あ、だめだ、明日は来られないな。あさって…あさってだと高いかなあ…やっぱり、今日持ってきます。こっちは、1泊でも1週間でも、同じだったんよね？
女：はい、では、こちらの３枚は１週間、新作のほうは当日でよろしいですか。
男：はい。
女：では、DVD4枚に消費税で、1470円でございます。ありがとうございました。
男の人は、いつDVDを返す予定ですか。
１．1枚は今日、3枚は1週間以内に返す。
２．1枚は明日、3枚はあさって返す。
３．3枚は今日、1枚は１週間以内返す。
４．4枚とも１週間以内に返す。
Translation for Reference :
A man is trying to borrow a DVD. When is the man going to return the DVD?
Woman: There is a new DVD. Would you like to use this…
Man: Ah. That’s a new DVD, isn’t it? How much is it?
Woman: It costs 350 yen just like the old one if you return it today, but if you return it tomorrow, it will be 400 yen, and on the day after tomorrow, it will be 500 yen. It will increase 100 yen every day…
Man: Is that so? Well, tomorrow… Ah, I can’t come tomorrow. The day after tomorrow… It is expensive on that day. I guess I’ll have to bring it today. It would be the same whether it’s one day or a week with these 3 right?
Woman: Yes. So you will borrow these three DVDs for a week and the new one for today, is it ok?
Man: Yes
Woman: Then, it is 1470 yen with consumption tax for 4 DVDs. Thank you very much.
When is the man going to return the DVD?
1. He will return a DVD today and 3 DVDs within a week
2. He will return a DVD tomorrow and 3 DVDs on the day after tomorrow
3. He will return 3 DVDs today and the other one within a week
4. He will return 4 DVDs within a week.

When is the man going to return the DVD?
2. Note the main ideas:
In this form of listening, we need to pay attention to the information relating to the time when the man is going to return the DVDs. And you should also focus on key words instead of trying to hear all the sentences then missing important words.
After listening, we have some key words as follows:
新作: 明日 -> だめ 、あさって-> 高, 今日 -> 持ってきます
３枚 -> １週間
新作 -> 当日
3. Choosing the answer:
According to what we have noted, we can deduct:
There are two types of DVD that the man would like to borrow. They are a new DVD (新作) and 3 other DVDs.
The man decided to return the new DVD today ( 今日持ってきます).
With 3 other DVDs, when the woman confirmed :３枚は１週間(you will borrow these three DVDs for a week) 、新作のほうは当日 (and the new one for today), the man said : はい (Yes).
So we choose answer 1. 1枚は今日、3枚は1週間以内に返す。
