男の人と女の人が話しています。
男：珍しい、勉強してるの。
女：そう、通信教育。先週から始まったの。私、保育士になろうと思って。
男：また通信教育？前のはどうなったんだよ。ホームヘルパーとか言ってたのは。
女：あ、あれは、やめた。私、やっぱり子供のほうが好きだし…。
男：それはわかるよ。君は子供の扱い方がうまいし、子供にも好かれるし。
でもねえ、通信教育はねえ、君のような人に向いていないと思うよ。学校へ行くほうがいいんじゃない？
男の人は、女の人のことをどう思っていますか。
1.保育士に向いていない
2. 通信教育は続けられない
3. 勉強しても保育士になれない
4. 子ども好きだが、子供には好かれない
Vocabulary:
通信教育（つうしんきょういく）: correspondence education
保育士（ほいくし）：nursery school teacher
ホームヘルパー：caregiver, home helper
扱い方（あつかいかた）：treatment
Translation for Reference :
A man and a woman are talking.
Man: That’s unusual, are you studying?
Woman: Yes, this is correspondence education. I started it from last week. I’m thinking of becoming a nursery school teacher.
Man: Correspondence education again? What happened to the previous one. You said something about the home helper…
Woman: Oh, I gave up that. I still like children more….
Man: I know that. You are good at dealing with children and they also like you.
But I don’t think correspondence education is suitable for people like you. Isn’t it better to go to school?
Question: What does the man think about the woman?

- Can not continue correspondence education
- Can not become a nursery school teacher even if she study
- She likes children but they don’t like her

You should note down the key words that describe the opinion of the man and the topic of the talking such as:
通信教育 : correspondence education
保育士: nursery school teacher
ホームヘルパー: home helper
子供: children
好かれる: to be liked
向いていない: not suitable
学校: school
3. Choosing the answer:
Answer: 2. 通信教育は続けられない
+ The man agreed with the woman’s idea of becoming a nursery school teacher by giving reasons such as: be good at dealing with children (子供の扱い方がうまい), be liked by the children/the children like her (子供にも好かれる). It does not mention that the woman can’t become a nursery school teacher => we eliminate answer 1,3
+ The man said that the woman was liked by the children (子供にも好かれる) =>we eliminate answer 4
+ About 通信教育 (correspondence education), the man said [君のような人に向いていないと思うよ] (I don’t think it is suitable for people like you). It has the same meaning as 通信教育は続けられない (Can not continue correspondence education).
So we choose: answer 2 (Can not continue correspondence education)
