Structure 141:
Nを 中心に/中心にして/中心にしたN/中心として
Explanation:
With N as the centre/ Specilized in
For example:
月は地球を中心として公転している。
Tsuki wa chikyuu wo chuushin to shite kouten shite iru.
The moon revolves around the earth.
会話を中心に、日本語を勉強している。
Kaiwa wo chuushin ni, Nihongo wo benkyou shite iru.
I am studying Japanese with a focus on conversation.
Structure 142:
Nをこめて
Explanation:
With a great amount of N
For example:
私たちは愛情をこめて、子どもを育てます。
Watashitachi wa aijou wo komete, kodomo wo sodatemasu.
We will raise our child with lots of love.
彼女は心をこめて、この料理を作った。
Kanojo wa kokoro wo komete, kono ryouri wo tsukutta.
She cooked this dish with her whole heart.
Structure 143:
Nを 通じて/通して
Explanation:
Through N, via N.
For example:
友人を通じて彼と知り合った。
Yuujin wo tsuujite kare to shiriatta.
I know him through a friend.
私はその交通事故を新聞を通じて知った。
Watashi wa sono koutsuu jiko wo shinbun wo tsuujite shitta.
I learned about that traffic accident through the newspaper.
Structure 144:
Nを 頼りにV/頼りとして/頼りにして
Explanation:
Thanks to N
For example:
この薬を頼りに、元気になった。
Kono kusuri wo tayori ni, genki ni natta.
Thanks to this medicine, I got better.
祖父はつえを頼りにして歩いている。
Sofu wa tsue wo tayori ni shite aruite iru.
Thanks to the cane, my grandpa can walk.
Structure 145:
Vる/ Nの 恐れがある
Explanation:
Afraid that / Might
For example:
この動物は絶滅の恐れがあります。
Kono doubutsu wa zetsumetsu no osore ga arimasu.
This animal is in danger of dying out.
外に出ると、死ぬ恐れがある。
Soto ni deru to, shinu osore ga aru.
If you go outside, you may die.
