Meaning and how to use :
1. Describe the meaning “someone has done somehting forr the speaker willingly”.
For example
彼女はあの有名な作家を紹介してくれました。
Kanojo ha ano yuumei na sakka o shoukai shi te kure mashi ta.
She has introduced to me a famous author.
最近いろいろな世話をしてくれて、本当にありがとうございます。
saikin iroiro na sewa o shi te kure te, hontouni arigatou gozai masu
Recently, you have helped me a lot, thank you very much
病気で授業を休んだ。山中さんはノートを書いてくれて、本当にありがたかった。
byouki de jugyou o yasun da. Yamanaka san ha nōto o kai te kure te, hontouni arigatakatta.
I was absent from school because of my illness. Yamanaka noted for me the lesson, I feel so grateful.
2. Express a request or command or suggest to someone
For example
このDVD、貸してくれませんか。
kono DVD, kashi te kure mase n ka.
Can you lend me this DVD?
お母さん、今ペコペコするので、食べ物を作ってくれるよ。
okaasan, kon pekopeko suru node, tabemono o tsukutte kureru yo.
Mom, I am really hungry. Let’s cook something please
とても急いでいるので、できるだけ早くこのメッセンジをマリアさんに伝えてくれない。
totemo isoi de iru node, dekirudake hayaku kono messenji o maria san ni tsutae te kure nai.
i am really hurry now, could you please send this massage to ms Maria for me as soon as possible ?
Note : For the second way of using this structure :
+) is often used with this form : 「てくれないか」(man often used) or「てくれませんか」(more polite)
+) 「くれる」form is often used to closed or lower person
