Lesson 1 : この女の人はだれですか (kono onna no hito ha dare desuka) : Who is this woman?

1. これはだれのですか、会話を聞いて例のように線を引いてください
Kore wa dare no desuka, kaiwa wo kiite rei no youni sen wo hiite kudasai
Whose is this? Draw a line as in the example.

女：このボールペンは誰のですか
onna : kono boorupen wa dare no desuka
Woman : Whose is this ball-point pen?

男：それはヤンさんのです
otoko : sore wa Yan-san no desu
Man : It’s Yan’s ball-point pen.

女：このえんぴつもヤンさんのですか
onna : kono enpitsu mo Yan-san no desuka
Woman : This is also Yan’s pencil, right?

男：いいえ、それはわたしのです
otoko : iie, sore wa watashi no desu
Man : No, it’s mine.

onna : kore mo anata no nooto desu ne
Woman : This is also your note, right?

男：いいえ、それはあなたのですよ
otoko : iie, sore wa anata no desu yo
Man : No, it’s yours.

女：あっ、そうですね。すみません
onna : a-, soudesu ne. Sumimasen
Woman : Oh, that’s right. Thanks.

男：はい、これも忘れ物ですよ
otoko : Hai, kore mo wasuremono desu yo
Man : Right, you also forgot this.

女：えっ、あ、この辞書は、わたしのではありません。ヤンさんのです
onna : e-, a, kono jisho wa, watashi no dewa arimasen. Yan-san no desu
Woman : Eh, oh, this dictionary is not mine. It’s Yan’s dictionary.

Man : I see. What about this man? Is he American?

女：いいえ、フランス人です。留学生のピエールさんです。
onna : iie, furansujin desu. Ryuugakusei no Pieeru-san desu.
Woman : No, he’s French. He is Pierre, an international student.

男：そうですか。じゃあ、この男の人は？この人も学生ですか。
otoko : Soudesuka. Jaa, kono otoko no hito wa? Kono hito mo gakusei desuka.
Man : I see. What about this man? Is he also a student?

女：いいえ、その人はわたしの日本語の先生ですよ。
onna : iie, sono hito wa watashi no nihongo no sensei desu yo.
Woman : No, he is my Japanese language teacher.

男：あっ、そうですか。
