Expressing meaning “carries the typical characteristics of the thing mentioned in that noun.”

Examples

1. 今日は冬らしいひだ。
Kyou wa fuyurashii hida.
Today is like a winter day.

2. あの女の子はいつも男らしい服装を着ています。
Ano onnanoko wa itsumo otokorashii fukusou wo kite imasu.
That girl is always wearing masculine clothes as a boy.

3. あの二人は恋人らしいね。
Ano futarihakoibitorashii ne.
Those two people look like a couple.

4. このドラマは恋愛ドラマらしい。
Kono dorama wa ren ai doramarashii.
That drama is like a romance drama.

5. 息子はまだ大学生なのに社会人らしい考えがあります。
Musuko wa mada daigakuseinanoni shakai hitorashii kangae ga arimasu.
My son is just a university student but his thought is like that of an adult.
