Describe the meaning “something can’t be clearly expressed”. It expresses the meaning that something includes not only one but also many other things.

Example:

石田さんになにかしら悪いうわさが広まっている。
Ishida san ni nanikashira warui uwasa ga hiromatteiru.
Some bad rumors about Mr. Ishida are spreading.

あの子はなにかしら満足しない態度を取る。
Anoko ha nanikashira manzokushinai taido wo toru.
That child has an attitude as if she is not satisfied with anything.

勝ったら何かしら得るものがある。
Kattara nanikashira eru mono ga aru.
If you win, you will get something.

高橋さんは私と何かしら話したいことがあるだろう。
Takahashi san ha watashi to nanikashira hanashitai koto ga aru darou.
Mr. Takahashi might have something to talk to me.

何かしらやりたいことがある。
Nanikashira yari tai koto ga aru.
There’s something I want to do.

Note: This structure is changed from 「何か知らぬ」、「何か知らん」
