Structure	Meaning – usage	Example
これ/それ/あれ	Are demonstrative pronouns, used as a noun this/that/these/those	これはあきさんです。 This is Aki.
この/その/あの＋N	This N/That N Modifies noun	あの人(ひと) 学生 (がくせい)です。 That person is a student.
そうです/そうじゃありません	are used in interrogative sentence toconfirm if somethings is true or false	1. あの人(あのひと)は秋(あき)さんですか。 Is that man Aki? はい、そうです。 Yes he is. 2. あの人(あのひと)は秋(あき)さんですか。 Is that man Aki? いいえ、そうじゃありません。 No, he is not.
~~か、~~~か。	interrogative sentence that ask listener’s choice. When the answer is “no” we use はい or いいえ	これは本(ほん) (ほん) ですか、ざっしですか。 Is this a book or a magazine? ほんです。 This is a book.
