Describe high level of comparision. Means “most likely, as if…”
For example
1. 彼女は輝かんばかりの美しさがある。
Kanojo ha kagayaka n bakari no utsukushi sa ga aru.
She has a shining beauty.
2. この車のスピードの速さは見えんばかりだ。
kono kuruma no supīdo no haya sa ha mie n bakari da.
This car is so fast as if it were invisible.
3. 田中さんは私たちを殺したがらんばかりに怒った。
tanaka san ha watashi tachi o koroshi ta garan bakari ni okotta.
Tanaka is angry as though he would kill us.
4. 彼女は父を亡くさんばかりに泣きました。
kanojo ha chichi o nakusa n bakari ni naki mashi ta.
she cries as if she had lost her father.
5. 息子は何が悪いことをしんばかりに私に目を見た。
musuko ha nani ga warui koto o shin bakari ni watashi ni me o mi ta.
My son looked at me as if he did somthings wrong.
