Formation :

お+Vます(bỏ ます)+する

Meaning and how to use :

This is a humnble form. To express the speaker’s action to another person in a humble way of speaking. In some cases where it is Chineses-Japanese than it is used as :「ごNする」. Also can be used to suggest.


Ima kara, watakushi ha buchou o oyobi shi masu.
From now on, I’ll be called the director.

Boku ha o shigoto shi te itashi masu.
I’m working.

Sensei no o kashi ni naru hon o o yomishi mashi ta.
I read the book that you gave me.

Sugu ni shizuka sama ni o denwa shi te i masu.
I’ll be calling Mr. Shizuka now.

Repoto o o gaki shi mashi ta. Go anshin kudasai.
I wrote the report. Please don’t be worried.

Note: A more formal form of this structure is 「お…いたす」
