Vるんだ

Meaning and how to use :

The structure describe requirements. Mostly men use it. Women often use「の」and「んです」

Example:

石田先生のメールをはやく返事するんだ。
Ishida sensei no me-ru wo hayaku henji surun da.
Reply to Mr. Ishida’s mail quickly.

ここで10分ほど待ってるんだよ。
Koko de juppun hodo matterunda yo.
Wait here for about 10 minutes.

今日雨が降りそうなので、かさを持てるんだ。
Kyou ame ga furisounanode, kasa wo motterun da.
It seems like going to rain today, so bring the umbrella with you.

宿題をやるんだよ。
Shukudai wo yarun dayo.
Do the homework.

一郎、お母さんの代わりに買い物するんだよ。
Ichirou, okaasan no kawarini kaimono surun dayo.
Ichiro, go shopping for mother.

Note: Adding 「よ」makes the sentence like a command.
