Meaning and how to use :
Describe the meaning “in case…”. This structure expresses a possibility and talks about it on condition that something might occur.
Example:
火事の場合、次のことのとおりにしてください。
Kaji no baai, tsugi no koto no toori ni shitekudasai.
In case of fire, please do as follows.
彼が同意しない場合私に出来れば早く連絡してください。
Kare ga doui shinai baai watashi ni dekireba hayaku renraku shitekudasai.
In case he does not agree, please contact me as soon as possible.
非常の場合、非常口を早く出てください。
HIjou no baai, hijoukuchi wo hayaku detekudasai.
In case of an emergency, please exit with the emergency exit as soon as possible.
プログラムが失敗する場合、担当の田中さんに責任を求めてください。
Puroguramu ga shippai suru baai, tantou no Tanaka san ni sekinin wo motometekudasai.
