Meaning and how to use :
Describe a change followed by another change. This structure is used to bring up extensive change and rarely used with personal changes.
For example
経済が変動するのに伴い、失業率が増える。
Keizai ga hendou suru no ni tomonai, shitsugyou ritsu ga fueru.
Along with unstable economy, unemployment rate rises.
ペットボトルの売れ行きが伸びるのに伴い、リサイクルも真剣に考えられようになった。
pettobotoru no ureyuki ga nobiru no ni tomonai, risaikuru mo shinken ni kangaerare you ni natta.
Plastic bottle is sold more and more, so recycling is seriously cocncerned.
入学する留学生の変化に伴い、クラス数を変える必要があります。
nyuugaku suru ryuugakusei no henka ni tomonai, kurasu suu o kaeru hitsuyou ga ari masu.
Along with the change of the quantity of oversea student, the number of class is also changed.
勉強は上手になるのに伴い、成績も上がります。
benkyou ha jouzu ni naru no ni tomonai, seiseki mo agari masu.
Studying better makes results better.
地球気温が変化するのに伴い、環境が汚染になりました。
chikyuu kion ga henka suru no ni tomonai, kankyou ga osen ni nari mashi ta.
Along with climate change, environment is polluted.
Note: In this way of speak, the two clause usually go with word expressing change.
This is a more solemn way of speaking of に伴って,usually used in written language.
