Meaning and how to use :
Expresses the meaning “No need to do V / even without doing … After this structure are typically sayings like 「わかる」、「いい」
Examples:
そのことを説明せずともわかる。
Sono koto o setsumei se zu to mo wakaru.
I can understand without your explaning.
あの医者は患者の姿を見ずともその患者がどの病気になるかわかる。
Ano isha ha kanja no sugata o mi zu tomo sono kanja ga dono byouki ni naru ka wakaru.
Without even looking at patient, that doctor can find out which disease he/she will catch.
山田さんのことはあの人に聞かずともいい。
Yamada san no koto ha ano hito ni kika zu tomo ii.
You needn’t ask that person about Mr. Yamada (he know nothing).
私が首になることは、言われずともわかる。
Watashi ga kubi ni naru koto ha, iware zu to mo wakaru.
About me being fired, I can understanding without being told.
子どもを叱らずともいい教育の方法があります。
Kodomo o shikara zu tomo ii kyouiku no houhou ga ari masu.
There are ways to teach your children that you needn’t yell at your children.
