2. Express reason
明日は週末だし、どこかへ行こうか。
あしたはしゅうまつだし、どこかへいこうか。
ashita ha shuumatsu dashi, doko ka e ikou ka?
Since tomorrow is weekend, let’s go somewhere.
運動場にいるし、一周走ろうか。
うんどうじょうにいるし、いっしゅうはしろうか。

How to use ながら
1.Used in case of two actions take place at the same time
音楽をききながら、走っている。
おんがくをききながら、はしっている。
ongaku wo kiki nagara, hashitte iru.
I am listening to music while running.
みんなテレビを見ながら、ごはんを食べる。
みんなテレビをみながら、ごはんをたべる。
minna terebi wo minagara, gohan wo taberu.
Everybody eats while watching TV.
2. Express the action against the action in the previous clause.
知っていながら、知らないような顔をしている。
しっていながら、しらないようなかおをしている。
shitte inagara, shiranai youna kao wo shite iru.
While knowing, I pretend not to know.
月末になっていながら、給料をなかなかもらっていない。
げつまつになっていながら、きゅうりょうをなかなかもらっていない。
getsu matsu ni natte inagara, kyuuryou wo nakanaka moratte inai.
I am not getting paid despite the end of the month.
