3. Grammar
くれます
Meaning : somebody give, gift us something
Example:
砂糖さんは私に花をくれました。
Satou san ha watashi ha hana wo kuremashita.
I recieved flowers from Sato.
N1 は N2 に ~ をVてあげます
Meaning : N2 do something for N1
Usage : Use to express that someone does something for others. N1 can be the speaker or other people.
Example :
私は木村さんに本を貸して上げました。
Watashi ha Kimura san ni hon wo kashite agemashita.
I lent Kimura a book.
N1 は N2 に~ をVてもらいます
Meaning : N1 receives help from N2
Usage : Use to express that someone does something for others. However, it is different from the above sentence pattern. It is used to express gratefulness of the receiver.
Example :
私は木村さんに電話番号を教えてもらいました。
Watashi ha kimura san ni denwa bangou wo oshiete moraimashita.
I was given Kimura’s phone number by Kimura.
N1 は 私 に~ をVてくれます
Meaning : I / My family is helped by someone.
Usage : Use to express that I / My family (the speaker / the speaker’s family) is helped by someone.
Example:
母は私にお菓子を買ってくれました。
Haha wa watashi ni okashi wo katte kuremashita.
My mother bought candy for me.
N( 人) が V
Usage : Use to express a new information
すてきな花ですね
Suteki na hana desu ne
Nice flower!
。。。ええ、砂糖さんがくれました
Ee, Satou san ga kuremashita.
Yea, Sato gifted me.
Interrogative word が V ~ か
Usage : The interrogative word at the beginning of the sentence comes with the particleが to ask a question. When using the particle が in the question, the answer must also use this particle.
Example:
だれが手伝いに行きますか。
Dare ga tesudai ni ikimasu ka,
Will anyone go to help?
秋さんが行きます。
Aki san ga ikimasu.
Aki will go.
4. Kaiwa
手伝って くれますか
カリナ： ワンさん、あした引っ越しですね。
手伝いに行きましょうか。
Karina : Wan san, ashita hikkoshidesu ne.
Tetsudai ni ikimashou ka.
ワン： ありがとう ございます。
Wan : Arigatou gozaimasu.
じゃ、すみませんが、９時ごろお願いします。
Ja, sumimasen ga, kuu ji goro onegaishimasu.
カリナ： ほかにだれが手伝いに行きますか。
Karina : Hoka ni dare ga tetsudai ni ikimasuka.
ワン： 山田さんとミラーさんが来てくれます。
Wan : Yamada san to mira san ga kite kuremasu.
カリナ： 車は？
Karina : Kuruma ha?
ワン： 山田さんにワゴン車を貸してもらいます。
Wan : Yamada san ni wagon kuruma wo kashite moraimasu.
カリナ： 昼ごはんはどうしますか。
Karina : Hiru gohan ha dou shimasu ka.
ワン： えーと･････。
Wan : E~to…
カリナ： わたしがお弁当を持って行きましょうか。
Karina : Watashi ga obentou wo motte ikimashou ka.
ワン： すみません。お願いします。
Wan : Sumimasen. Onegaishimasu.
カリナ： じゃ、また あした。
Karina : Ja, mata ashita.
Translation:
Can you help me?
Karina: Mr. Wan, you are moving tomorrow, aren’t you?
Can I go to help you?
Wan: Thank you. Well, I’m sorry. Please come to help me at 9 o’clock.
Karina: Dose anyone else come to help?
Wan: Mr Yamada and Mr Miller will come to help me.
Karina: What about the car?
Wan: Mr. Yamada will lend me a wagon car
Karina: What about lunch?
Wan: Well….
Karina: Shall I bring lunch boxes?
Wan: Thank you.
Karina: See you tomorrow.
