Describes “on the surface are dirty stains”. This structure is only used with some limited nouns.


Musuko ha hito o koroshi ta bakari no you ni chimamire no karada desu.
My son has blood all over his body like he just killed someone.

Ano hito ha gozen chuu ni hisshi ni hatarai te, ase mamire ni naru.
That person worked his hardest in the morning so there are sweats all over his body.

Sono hako ha nagai jikan ni souko ni okare te, hokori mamire ni natta.
That box has been in the storage for quite a while so there’s dust all over it.

Kodomo ha doromamire no fuku de ie ni kaetta.
My son returned home with dirty clothes.

Ano noto ha dare ka inku o kobosare te, inku mamire ni natta.
That notebook has ink sprayed all over it by someone.
