ちっとも+[ない-form]

Meaning and how to use :

Emphasize the negative meaning “not at all…”

Example:

父の病状はちっともよくない。
Chichi no byoujou ha chittomo yokunai.
My father’s health condition is not good at all.

街は昔に比べてちっとも変化しない。
Machi ha mukashi ni kurabete chittomo henka shinai.
The town has never changed one bit compared to the past.

彼の点数はちっとも改善されない。
Kare no tensuu ha chitto mo kaizen sarenai.
His score does not improved at all.

あの子は私の注意はちっとも聞かなかった。
Ano ko ha watashi no chuui ha chitto mo kikanakatta.
That child didn’t listen to my reminder at all.

リーダーは私たちとちっとも相談しないで勝手に決めました。
Ri-da- ha watashitachi to chittomo soudan shinaide katte ni kimemashita.
The leader decided on his own without discussing with us.

Note: It is used in speaking and more friendly than 「すこしも」. This structure is different from「ぜんぜん」. That is, it is not used to describe the number of times.
