Meaning and how to use :

Expresses the meaning “for a long while, if said event doesn’t happen then a thing/status wouldn’t happen.”. Means that if the former clause does happen then the former clause might change as well.


Kimi ga kime nai kagiri, kono teian ga jikken sare nai desu.
If you don’t give a decision then this project can’t be executed.

Sensei ga kyoushitsu o de nai kagiri, gakusei mo derare mase n.
If the teacher doesn’t go out of the classroom then the students can’t go out as well.

Kyuuyou ga nai kagiri, watashi to renraku shi nai de kudasai.
If there isn’t any important thing, don’t contact me.

Oya ga doui shi nai kagiri, jibun ga shi tai koto ga mada deki nai.
Unless my parents agree, I can not do what I want to do.

Kai tai hito ga nai kagiri, ano shouhin ha tana ni oki te ari masu.
Unless there is a person that wants to buy, the item remains on the shelf.
