Meaning and how to use :
Expresses the meaning “Once do something,.. everything will..”. Often has negative meanings.
Examples:
あの人に価値があるものを貸したら最後、引き取れません。
Ano hito ni kachi ga aru mono o kashi tara saigo, hikitore mase n.
Once you lend that person your valuable belongings, you can’t ask for it back.
そのことを言ったが最後、私たちの仲良さが破れられます。
Sono koto o itta ga saigo, watashi tachi no nakayo sa ga yabure rare masu.
Once that thing has been said, our friendship will end.
そのことをすると決めたら最後、後件も認めなきゃならない。
Sono koto o suru to kime tara saigo, kouken mo mitome nakya nara nai.
Once you decided to do that thing, you have to face the consequences.
この子は食べたら最後、テーブルの上に並んだ料理をすっかり食べります。
Kono ko ha tabe tara saigo, tēburu no ue ni naran da ryouri o sukkari tabe ri masu.
Once that kid eats something, he will eat everything on the table.
娘はドラマを見たが最後、叱られても感心しないだろう。
Musume ha dorama o mi ta ga saigo, shikarare te mo kanshin shi nai daro u.
Once my daughter watches any TV shows, even if I yell at her she won’t care.

Comparing to たが最後, たら最後 is more commonly used in writings.
