Describe the meaning “without doing something”.
Example:
あの人は一言も言わずに、暗黙のうちに行動する。
Anohito ha hitokoto mo iwazuni, anmoku no uchi ni koudou suru.
That person acts in silence without saying a word.
彼は遊びもせずに、勉強してばかりいます。
Kare ha asobi mo sezuni, benkuou shite bakariimasu.
He just keeps on studying without playing.
息子は今日漫画も読ませずに、寝ました。
Musuko ha kyou manga mo yomazuni, nemashita.
My son went to bed without reading any comics today.
石田さんは一見もせずに、決定をくだした。
Ishida san ha ikken mo sezuni, kettei wo kudashita.
Mr. Ishida decided without taking a look.
親は私の意見を聞かずに、自分で決めてしまった。
Oya ha watashi no iken wo kikazuni, jibun de kimeteshimatta.
My parents decided on their own without asking for my opinion.
