Examples:

この雑誌は面白いですね。ただちょっとデザインがよくないです。
Kono zasshi wa omoshiroidesu ne. Tada chotto dezain ga yokunaidesu.
What an interesting magazine!. However, the design is quite bad.

あの人は優しい人です。ただ、怒っているときはとても怖いですよ。
Ano hito wa yasashii hitodesu. Tada, okotte iru toki wa totemo kowaidesu yo.
This person is a gentle person. But when you’re angry, it’s scary.

田中さんは親切ですね。ただ、他人の痛みを無視にすることもあります。
Tanaka-san wa shinsetsudesu ne. Tada, tanin no itami wo mushi ni suru koto mo arimasu.
Mr. Tanaka is kind. But sometimes he also ignores the pain of others.

この携帯電話は性能がいいです。ただちょっと重いです。
Kono geitaidenwa wa seinou ga iidesu. Tada chotto omoidesu.
This phone has good features. However it is quite heavy.

あのかばんは丈夫です。ただ色が悪いです。
Ano kaban wa joubudesu. Tada iro ga waruidesu.
That bag is good. But the color is bad.

Note: This structure is used in speaking. In writing, we use「ただし」.
