Expressing the meaning “when being put in a certain situation, an object turns out differently from what it was judged.”.

Examples:

さすがのやさしい父もいとうとの行動で怒っていた。
Sasuga no yasashii chichi mo itouto no koudou de okotte ita.
Even a gentle person like my father got angry at my brother’s actions.

さすがの元気な田中選手も病気で亡くなりました。
Sasuga no genkina Tanaka senshu mo byouki de nakunarimashita.
Even the strong player like Tanaka is gone because of illness.

さすがの上手な佐藤さんも勝ちませんでした。
Sasuga no jouzuna Satou-san mo kachimasendeshita.
Even a skilled person like Sato couldn’t win.

さすがの率直なまなみさんも嘘をついていました。
Sasuga no sotchokuna Manami-san mo uso wo tsuite imashita.
Even a frank Minami lied.

さすがの高橋さんのようないい学生も同級生をいじめるんだ。
Sasuga no Takahashi-san no youna ii gakusei mo doukyuusei wo ijimerunda.
Even good student like Takahashi also bullies classmates.

Note: This saying has the same meaning as the adverb「さすがに」.
