Meaning and how to use :

Describe the meaning “more than a certain amount” with the implication of expressing a large quantity of something.

Example:

ここからあそこまで行きたかったら5キロメートルからの道を行かなきゃならない。
Koko kara asoko made ikitakattara 5 kirom-toru kara no michi wo ikanakyanaranai.
If you want to get there from here, you have to go for more than 5 kilometers.

試験のため一日に50つからの新しい言葉を勉強するべきだ。
Shiken no tame ichinichi ni 50 tsu kara no atarashii kotoba wo benkyou suru beki da.
I must study more than 50 new words a day for the exam.

10トンからの食料はアフリカに運ばれて貧乏な人に援助するのに作られた。
10 ton kara no shokuryou ha afurika ni hakobarete binbou na hito ni enjo suru noni tsukareta.
More than 10 tons of food was brought to Africa to help the poor.

優勝したチームに挙行する一千人からのパレードが行われた。
Yuushou shita chi-mu ni senkyo suru ichisennin kara no bare-do ga okonawareta.
The parade with more than 1000 people celebrating the winning team was held.

会社は海外から10万円からの機械を買った。
Kaisha ha kaigai kara 10 manen kara no kikai wo katta.
The company bought a machine for more than 100,000 yen from overseas.
