Formation :

Vる/Vない+よう(に)

Meaning and how to use :

Expressing wishes that you and others want.

Examples:

君が元気ですごすように神に祈った。
Kimi ga genkide sugosu you ni kami ni inotta.
I prayed to god for you to be well.

どうか勝ちますように。
Douka kachimasu youni.
I hope to win.

あなたは幸せに過ごすように。
Anata wa shiawase ni sugosu youni.
Hope you live happily.

父が早く回復するように神社によく参って願います。
Chichi ga hayaku kaifuku suru youni jinja ni yoku maitte negaimasu.
I often go to the shrine to pray for my father to recover quickly.

妹は大学に合格するように。
Imouto wa daigaku ni goukaku suru youni.
Hope my sister will pass university entrance exam.

Note: The following is often verbs like「祈る」、「念じる」、「望む」、「願う」、… . Sometimes,「よう(に)」can stand at the end of the sentence, before it is polite form. This structure is also often used to end speeches or letters.
