JLPT N5 Grammar lesson 10. Hi everyone! In this article, Learn Japanese daily will introduce to you the JLPT N5 Grammar. Each lesson will consist of about 5 structures for you to learn step by step and have more time to practise.

Grammar structure 46 :

~ましょう~

Formation :

~Vます(minus ます) +ましょう~

Explanation :

Let’s do something together….

Examples and examples’ meaning :

1.これから歌(うた)いましょう
Let’s sing together from here.

2.外(そと)に出(で)て、遊(あそ)びましょう
Let’s hang out together.

Grammar structure 47 :

~ましょうか

Formation :

~Vます(minus ます) + ましょうか

Explanation :

Do you want me to help?

Examples and examples’ meaning :

1.その荷物(にもつ)は重(おも)そうね。持(も)ちましょうか。
This luggage seems heavy. Do you want me to help you carry it?

2.風(かぜ)が大(おお)きいね。ドアを閉(し)めましょうか
The wind is strong, isn’t it. Do you want me to close the door?

Grammar structure 48 :

~ませんか

Formation :

Vます(minus ます) +ませんか

Explanation :

This pattern is used to invite, ask the listener to do something.

Examples and examples’ meaning :

1.コーヒーを飲(の)みませんか
Want to drink coffee?

2.週末(しゅうまつ)海(うみ)に行(い)きませんか
Want to go to the beach this weekend?

Grammar structure 49 :

~まだ~ていません

Formation :

~まだ~Vていません

Explanation :

Still not done yet.

Examples and examples’ meaning :

  1. 仕事(しごと)はまだ終(お)わっていません。
    The job is still not done yet.

2ドアがまだ閉(し)まっていません。
The door is still not closed yet.

Grammar structure 50 :

~も~

Formation :

~も~

Explanation :

Also, even
Used to show the similarity with the aforementioned thing.
Used to show how surprised someone mentioned in the statement is.

Examples and examples’ meaning :

1..私(わたし)は学生(がくせい)です。山田(やまだ)さんも学生(がくせい)です。
I’m a student, so is Yamada.

2.忙(いそが)しくて食(た)べる時間(じかん)もない。
Because I’m too busy, I don’t even have time to eat.
