Meaning and how to use :

1. A fact causes an obvious result. Means “as … so obvioustly/ of course..”

For example

私はアメリカに10年住んでいたわけだから、英語が上手のはもちろんだ。
Watashi ha amerika ni 10 nen sun de i ta wake da kara, eigo ga jouzu no ha mochiron da.
I have been living in the US for 10 years, so obviously I’m excellent at English.

人を殺したわけだから、警察に捕まれるのは当然だ。
hito o koroshi ta wake da kara, keisatsu ni tsukamareru no ha touzen da.
He killed people, so of course, he was arrested.

1日中何も食べないわけだから、倒れるのは当然だ。
1 nichi chuu nani mo tabe nai wake da kara, taoreru no ha touzen da.
Because you haven’t eaten anything all day long, so naturally you will collapse.

2.If the first event is true, the second is also true no wonder. It’s also usuallly used in the cases when the first event is opposite to the second.

由子ちゃんはいつもいい成績が取れわけだから、今回のテストは難しいですが100点を照れても当然だ。
yuuko chan ha itsumo ii seiseki ga tore wake da kara, konkai no tesuto ha muzukashii desu ga 100 ten o tere te mo touzen da.
Yuko always gets high mark, so though this test is hard, she gets 100 points no wonder.

この本は有名な作家によって書かれたわけだから、売れ上げがよくても当然だ。
kono hon ha yuumei na sakka niyotte kakare ta wake da kara, ure age ga yoku te mo touzen da.
This book was written by a famous author, so it, of course, is well sold

その俳優はとてもハンサムであるわけだから、彼のコンサートはいろいろな人が来ても当然だ。
sono haiyuu ha totemo hansamu de aru wake da kara, kare no konsāto ha iroiro na hito ga ki te mo touzen da.
That actor is very handsome, so, of course, his music concert attracted many people
