Sore ho jōdan desu ga, kare wa okotte muki ni natta
It was just a joke, but he got angry and made it serious.
そのゲームは楽しいのでするが、あの人は向きになった。
sono gēmu wa tanoshii node suru ga, ano hito wa muki ni natta.
This game is fun, but he makes it serious.
そのテストはそんなに難しくないのに、私は向きになってやっとできなかった。
sono tesuto wa sonnani muzukashiku nai noni, watashi wa muki ni natte yatto deki nakatta.
The test is not so difficult, but I make it a big problem and finally couldn’t resolve it.
大学を不合格だけなのに、あの子は向きになって、自殺した。
daigaku o fu gōkaku dake na noni, ano ko wa muki ni natte, jisatsu shi ta.
Just because he failed in university entrance examination, he made it serious and suicided.
向きになって、あの人に同意させた。
muki ni natte, ano hito ni dōi sase ta.
I strained the situation and forced him to agree.
