Meaning and how to use :
Expresses the meaning “Not that I can’t..”. Used when wanting to express the reluctance feeling about something that the speaker can do.
Examples:
その程度の宿題はやれないものでもない。
Sono teido no shukudai ha yare nai mono de mo nai.
Not that I can’t do assignments of this level.
この故障したテレビを修理しないものでもないが、ちょっと難しい。
Kono koshou shi ta terebi o shuuri shi nai mono de mo nai ga, chotto muzukashii.
Not that I can’t fix this broken TV but it’s quite hard.
にほんごの本が読めないものでもないが、時々分からない言葉がある。
Ni hon go no hon ga yome nai mono de mo nai ga, tokidoki wakara nai kotoba ga aru.
Not that I can’t read books in Japanese but sometimes there are words that I don’t know.
そんなに長い作文が書けないものでもないがちょっと時間がかかるでしょう。
Sonnani nagai sakubun ga kake nai mono de mo nai ga chotto jikan ga kakaru desho u.
Not that I can’t write such a long essay like this but it might take a little while.
助けないものでもないが、私だけでは難しいだろうと思う。
Tasuke nai mono de mo nai ga, watashi dake de ha muzukashii daro u to omou.
Not that I don’t want to help but only me is rather difficult to help.
Note: This structure is formal and quite old-dated.
