Meaning and how to use :
Describe the meaning “in the middle of…”. Describe an action that is taking place is interrupted by other action.
Example:
学校に行く途中でノートを家で忘れたので帰りました。
Gakkou ni iku tochuu de no-to wo iede wasureta node kaerimashita.
While I was on my way to school, I went back home because I forgot my notebook at home.
考える途中で田中さんが私の名前を呼びました。
Kangaeru tochuude tanaka san ga watahsi no namae wo yobimashita.
While I was thinking, Mr. Tanaka called my name.
宿題をやる途中で教室で忘れ物をしたことに気付いた。
Shukudai wo yaru tochuu de kyoushitsu de wasuremono wo shitakoto ni kizuita.
I realized I left something in the classroom while I was doing my homework.
帰る途中で社長から会社に戻せと電話がかかった。
Kaeru tochuu de shachou kara kaisha ni modose to denwa ga kakatta.
On the way home, the president called me back to the company.
ご飯を食べる途中で知り合いはお宅に訪ねた。
Go han wo taberu tochuu de shiriai ha otaku ni tazuneta.
An acquaintance visited my house while I was eating.
