Meaning and how to use :
Express an event which usually can not occur, but this ocation is an exception.
For example
普通なら許さないところだが、今度だけ見逃します。
Futsuu nara yurusa nai tokoro da ga, kondo dake minogashi masu.
Normally I won’t forgive you, but this time I’ll ignore it.
平日ならダメところだが、今日だけいいですよ
heijitsu nara dame tokoro da ga, kyou dake ii desu yo
if today is weekday it is not OK, only today, it is Ok.
毎度なら、このコートは３０００円ところだが、今度は２５００円だけですよ。
maido nara, kono kōto ha san zero zero zero en tokoro da ga, kondo ha ni go zero zero en dake desu yo.
