Meaning and how to use :
Thing in second clause occurs opposed to thing in the first clause. Normally used with bad result, evaluation.
For example
大切な情報が知っているくせに、僕たちに何も言わないでずっと黙っていたん。本当にひどいなあ。
Taisetsu na jōhō ga shitte iru kuse ni, boku tachi ni nani mo iwa nai de zutto damatte i ta n. Hontōni hidoi nā.
You knew important infomation, but you didn’t tell us. You are really bad.
小学生のくせに酒を飲んではいけない。
shōgakusei no kuse ni sake o non de wa ike nai.
You are just a kid studying in primary school, you mustn’t drink wine..
彼女はタバコをやめたと言ったくせに、さっき吸ってたじゃないか。
kanojo wa tabako o yame ta to itta kuse ni, sakki sutte ta ja nai ka.
She said she gave up smoking, she has just smoked, hasn’t she?
三十歳の大人のくせに、仕事を見つけないで家にいてゲームをしてばかりいる。
san jū sai no otona no kuse ni, shigoto o mitsuke nai de ie ni i te gēmu o shi te bakari iru.
He’s over 30 years old, but he just stays at home playing game and doesn’t look for job
田中さんのことが好きなくせに、それを言だれでも言わないで、自分の秘密になる。
tanaka san no koto ga suki na kuse ni, sore o gen dare demo iwa nai de, jibun no himitsu ni naru.
I like mr. Tanaka, but I don’t tell that to anyone, so it becomes a secret.
