Meaning and how to use :

Expressing the meaning “cannot … / certainly not …/ impossible to do something”.

This is used in writing, but is old and not often used nowaday

Ex:

彼の一人で私たちのグループを勝つべくもないよ。
Kare no hitori de watashitachi no guruupu wo katsubeku mo nai yo.
He cannot win our team by himself.

日本からアメリカまで行くのは、一日中車で行くべくもないよ。
Nihon kara Amerika made iku no wa, ichinichijuu sha de ikubeku mo nai yo.
From Japan, going to the US cannot go for 1 day by car.

彼女は全力を尽くしてもこの仕事ができないだろう。頼むべくもない。
Kanojo wa zenryoku o tsukushite mo kono shigoto ga dekinaidarou. Tanomubeku mo nai.
She might not be able to do this even if she tried her best. I can’t rely on her.

彼の言ったことを全部知るべくもない。
Kare no itta koto o zenbu shirubeku mo nai.
It is impossible to know all what he said.

今、家から学校まで歩くのは間に合うべくもない。
Ima, uchi kara gakkou made aruku no wa maniaubeku mo nai.
Now that walking from home to school can not be in time.
