Expressing the position of space and the order of action in time. Usually translated: “Before N”.
Examples:
図書館の前に、中学校があります。
Toshokan no mae ni, chuugakkou ga arimasu.
There is a junior high school in front of the library.
勉強の前に、本を読みます。
Benkyou no mae ni, hon wo yomimasu.
Before studying, I read books.
水浴のまえに、服装を脱ぎます。
Suiyoku no mae ni, fukusou o nugimasu.
You have to take off your clothes before taking a bath.
家の前に車が止まっています。
Ie no mae ni kuruma ga tomatte imasu.
There is a car parking in front of my house.
レストランの前に駅です。
Resutoran no mae ni ekidesu.
In front of the restaurant is the train station./There is a train station in front of my house
