Meaning and how to use :

Expresses the meaning “An event is currently clear and obvious, but it wasn’t in the past”. The state in two parts are contradictory.
For example

今でこそ仕事やお金があるが、以前は失業するし、食事のお金もないんだ。
ima de koso shigoto ya okane ga aru ga izen ha shitsugyou suru shi shokuji no okane mo nai n da
Currently I have money and a job but I used to be unemployed and even didn’t have money to pay for the meal.

彼女は今でこそ優しくなったが、知合い当初はとてもずるくて、気まぐれだ。
kanojo ha ima de koso yasashiku natu ta ga shiriai tousho ha totemo zuruku te kimagure da
She’s become gentle now but when we first met she used to be bad and moody.

今でこそ、自分の家族があるが、以前は孤独だった。
ima de koso jibun no kazoku ga aru ga izen ha kodoku datu ta
Now I have my own family, but in the past I was single.

あの人は今でこそ有名な画家になったが、数年前は貧乏で誰でも知らなくて、アマチュアな画家です。
ano hito ha ima de koso yuumei na gaka ni natu ta ga suu nen zen ha bimbou de tare de mo shira naku te amachua na gaka desu
He is a famous painter now, but he used to be a poor, unknown and amateur.

この映画は今でこそいろいろないい評判があったが、作られたばかりのとき、小さい映画館しか映写されなかった。
kono eiga ha ima de koso iroiro na ii hyouban ga atu ta ga tsukura re ta bakari no toki chiisai eiga kan shika eisha sa re nakatu ta
This movie gets many good reviews now, but it was only shown at small theaters when it first came out.
