Meaning and how to use :

Expreses the meaning “That’s right!”.


A: ‘kono keikaku ha seikou dekiru ka dou ka kare no iken no shidai da.’
B: ‘ikanimo. Dakara, kare o kuzetsu shi ta hou ga ii ja nai
A: “Whether or not the plan is going to succeed depends on his opinion.”
B: “That’s right. Because of that, we need to persuade him right?”

Ikanimo kimi ga itta toori da.
Just like you said.

A: ‘kore ha kagiri no tokei desu ka.’
B: ‘ikanimo. Sekaijuu de sono you na tokei ga go zero shika tsu ari mase n yo’
A: “Is this watch limited edition?”
B: “That’s right. There are only 50 ones like this in the world.

Ikanimo sono toori da. Yamada san ha shoutai jou o mada uke mase n.
That is exactly right. Mr. Yamada has not received an invitation yet.

A: ‘ano e ha yuumei na pikaso ni egakare ta ka.’
B: ‘ikanimo’
A: “Is that painting painted by the famous painter Picasso?”
B:”That’s right”.

Note : This structures is used in speaking, but it is quite old way of speaking.
