Opening

“Itsumo, Hina-chan no osewa wo shite ite erai ne”
“You always take care of Hina. Good girl / Good boy”.

Watashi ga senseigata kara iwareru kotobadesu.
Those are words the teacher told me.

Demo, watashi wa osewa wo shi tari, mendou wo mite iru node wa arimasen.
But I don’t help or take care of her.

Hina is an important friend of mine.

I’m happy when I’m with Hina.

Body

Hina-chan wa, watashi to onaji shougakkou no toku-gaku ni kayou gonensei no onnanoko desu.
Hina is a fifth grade girl who attends special class of the same elementary school as me.

Hina-chan wa, umaretsuki sukoshi ashi ga warukute, hito to no kakawari (komyunikeeshon wo toru koto) ga negate de, tokidoki katamatte ugokanaku natte shimau koto ga arimasu.
Hina’s legs are a little bad by nature, and she is not good at communicating with others. Sometimes, her body gets stiff and can’t move.

Watashi to hina-chan no deai wa, onaji youchien no tokideshita.
I first met Hina when we were in the same kindergarten.

Sonokoro no koto wa amari oboete imasenga, min’na ga en niwa de asonde iru toki, hina chan to watashi to futari, taiikukan no naka de, mafuraa wo hirahira sasete tanoshi-sou ni asonde ita sou desu.
I don’t remember well about that time, but when everyone was playing in the garden, I and Hina played happily with a scarf together in the gymnasium.

Then we entered elementary school. When being in first grade, we were in the same class. But from the second year at elementary school, Hina has moved to special class.

Ima wa, watashi no kurasu de ongaku, shakai, kateika wo benkyou shite imasu.
Now my class is studying music, society and home economics.

Mata, hina-chan wa ninensei no toki kara, maishuu doyoubi, T gakuen, toku-gaku, yougo gakkou no kodomodachi no taisou kyoushitsu ni itte imasu.
And starting from the 2nd year, Hina goes to gymnastics class for children of special schools every Saturday.

Watashi ga naratte iru sensei ga okonatte irunode, watashi mo saisho kara borantia to shite otetsudai wo shite imasu.
My class’s teacher also comes, so I also help everyone here as a volunteer from the beginning.

Koko ni mo hina-chan wa kite ite genzai 30-mei no kosei yutakana tomodachi to tomoni ganbatte imasu.

Watashi wa taiikukan wo issho ni hashittari, taisou wo shi tari, koe wo kake tari shite imasu.
We run around gymnasiums, do gymnastics and talk together.

Hina also visits my house sometimes.

Shakai no tesuto mae wa kenmei wo issho ni oboe tari, hina-chan no daisukina nuigurumi de ason dari shimasu.
Before the social studies test, we will learn the names of the prefectures together, and play with Hina’s favorite stuffed toy.

Hina-chan no yoi tokoro wa, sunaode yasashikute ijiwaruna tokoro ga arimasen.
Hina’s good points are that she is honest, gentle and not unkind.

Mata, totemo ganbariyadesu. Taisou no toki, hashiru no ga osokute mo kanarazu saigomade hashirimasu.
And she always works hard. When doing gymnastics, she will definitely run to the end even if she runs slowly.

Kanji renshuu ya ondoku mo mainichi shite imasu.
She practices and reads aloud kanji every day.

Demo, katamatte ugokanaku natte shimau koto ga arimasu.
But sometimes her body gets stiff and can’t move.

Sonna toki, hina-chan wa, hosonagaku kitta kami wo hirahira sa se, kimochi wo ochitsuka semasu.
At that time, Hina flutters the thin cut papers and this will calm her down.

When I’m with her, I try talking to her by using stuffed toy or mascot.

Watashi no tan’nin no sensei ga, hina-chan wa watashi to dake kakawaru node wa naku, hina-chan ga watashi ga inakute mo go-nen ichi-kumi ni korareru you ni to, osshatte imashita.
My homeroom teacher told me that Hina was not only attached to me and she was able to come to the class 1 year 5 even without me.

Sou naru koto ga hina-chan no tame, mata watashi no tamede mo aru to. Watashi mo sou omoimasu.
That is for Hina, also for me. I think so.

Kurasu no minna ni mo, motto hina chanto kakawatte moraitaishi, hina-chan no yoi tokoro wo motto shitte moraitaidesu.
I hope everyone in the class be attached to Hina and know more about Hina’s good points.

Hina-chan ga gonen ichigumi no naka de itsumo, egao de irareru you ni nareba, to omoimasu.
I hope Hina will always be able to smile in this class.

Hina-chan no egao wa saikou desu.
Hina’s smile is the best.

Watashi wa, shourai, toku-gaku ka yougo gakkou no sensei ni naritai to omou you ni natte kimashita.
I have come to think that I want to become a teacher at a special school or school for the handicapped in the future.

Hina-chan ya taisou kyoushitsu no tomodachi to kakawatte iku koto wa, tanoshii desu.
I’m really happy when I’m with Hina and friends in the gymnastics class.

Tatoe, kotoba ga hanasenakute mo, kaiwa ga ippou tsuukou demo, nakayoku naritai, to iu kimochi ga areba, kokoro wa tsutawaru to omoimasu.
For example, even if you can’t talk in words or the conversation is only from one side, I think the soul will convey everything when you want to be friends with them.

Shougai ga atte mo, min’na atatakai kokoro wo motte imasu.
Even if they are disabled, they all have a warm heart.

Sono koto wo, hitori demo ooku no hito ni tsutaetaishi, shitte moraitai desu.
I want to convey that thing to as many people as possible.

Ending

Hina-chan, itsuka wa betsubetsu no michi wo susunde iku to omoukedo, zutto, zutto, tomodachi de iyou ne.
Hina, I think that someday we will take different paths, but let’s be friends forever.

I’m looking forward to your help in the future!
