Meaning and how to use :

1. Means “be used to doing something” when you are in a situation for a long time or you gain many experiences in doing something.

For example

日本語を使って話すことに慣れる。
Nihongo o tsukatte hanasu koto ni nareru.
I’m used to using Japanese to speak.

彼女に毎日文句を言われることに慣れる。
kanojo ni mainichi monku o iwareru koto ni nareru.
I was used to being complaining by her everyday.

毎朝起きてからすぐコーヒーを飲むことに慣れる。
maiasa oki te kara sugu kōhī o nomu koto ni nareru.
I was used to drinking coffee immediately after waking up.

2. Describe something, situation, state that potentially change into another one.

For example

有名な俳優に慣れる夢は無理だと思います。
yuumei na haiyuu ni nareru yume ha muri da to omoi masu.
I think the dream to become a famous actor isn’t impossibly to come true.

お金持ちになれる人は本当に幸いな人だ。
o kanemochi ni nareru hito ha hontouni saiwai na hito da.
People becoming rich are also people who are very lucky.

政治家に慣れるなら、絶対に賄賂物をもらわない。
seiji ka ni nareru nara, zettai ni wairo butsu o morawa nai.
If I become an politician, I determinedly never corrupt.

Note : “に慣れる” is Potential Form of “になる”。
