Examples:

Misu shita kare wa sekkyoku-tekina houkou ni mukatte imasu.
He who made mistake is heading towards the positive direction.

飛行機はロンドンに向かって飛んでいます。
Hikouki wa Rondon ni mukatte tonde imasu.
The plane is flying towards London.

あの人は私のお宅に向かって歩いています。
Ano hito wa watashi no otaku ni mukatte aruite imasu.
This person is walking towards my house.

北海道に行きたかったら北に向かって出発しよう。
Hokkaidou ni ikitakattara kita ni mukatte shuppatsu shiyou.
If you want to go to Hokkaido, start heading towards the North.
