Examples:

Kanojo wa shinyuu no watashi ni mo shinji nikui node waarumai ka.
She finds it hard to believe in me, her best friend, doesn’t she?

2. あの人は全員に嘘をついたのではあるまいか。
Ano hito wa zenin ni uso wo tsuita node waarumai ka.
He lied to everyone, didn’t he?

3. 子供は親としての私まで悪口をいったではあるまいか。
Kodomo wa oya to shite no watashi made waruguchi wo ittade waarumai ka.
My children talk badly about me as their parents, don’t they?

4. 彼の勧めを聞くと罠ではあるまいか迷っていました。
Kare no susume wo kiku to wanade waarumai ka mayotte imashita.
Hearing his suggestion, I wondered if it was a trap?

5. 上司は僕のチームの意見に反対するではあるまいか。
Joushi wa boku no chiimu no iken ni hantai surude waarumai ka.
Superior will oppose our team’s opinion, won’t he?

Note: This is used more in writing and more formal than「ではないだろうか」 . Often used in articles, such as scientific reports, treatises.
