Meaning and how to use :
This is a humble way of saying “I do something for other people”.
Example:
この街をご案内します。
Kono machi wo goannaishimasu.
I will show you around this city.
その箱をお持ちしましょうか。
Sono hako wo omochishimashou ka.
Shall I bring that box for you?
この商品をご紹介しましょう。
Kono shouhin wo goshoukai shimashou.
I would like to introduce this product.
田中さんにご伝言しました。
Tanaka san ni go dengon shimashita.
I sent a message to Mr. Tanaka.
社長とお話しました。
Shachou to ohanashimashita.
I talked to the manager.
Note: You can use this structure to suggest that you would do something for others.「お…いたす」 is a more polite way of speaking. In case of using with Chinese-Japanese nouns, we use the form「ごN+する」. But if it is「電話する」, we use the form「お電話する」
