Meaning and how to use :

Describe the meaning “from.. to”. Often goes with nouns indicating time or locations.


Raishuu toukyou kara oosaka nikakete ooame ga furu sou desu.
I hear there’s going heavy rains from Tokyo to Osaka.

Konshuu no doyoubi kara raishuu no kayoubi nikakete gaikoku ni shucchou shi masu.
I’ll be going on a business trip abroad from this Saturday to Tuesday next week.

Ichi zero sai no toki kara ichi go sai no toki nikakete pari ni taizai shi mashi ta.
I lived in Paris from when I was 10 to 15 years old.

Nippon de ha shigatsu hokkaidou kara oosaka nikakete sakura ga sai te iru.
In Japan in april, cherry blossom blooms from Hokkaido to Oosaka.

Kyou kara ashita nikakete nagai tegami o sho kara nakere ba nara nai.
I have to write a long letter from today to tomorrow.

The structure is split into 2 categories to express time:
+) Expresses a moment, a while between 2 times. (Example 5)
+) Expresses a long period from this to then (Example 2 , 3). This structure is used to vaguely describe the time period. Quite similar to the structure から~まで
