Meaning and how to use :

Express the meaning “just because…”. Describe the reason causing something.

For example

1. 経験がないというだけで、彼女は採用されない。
Keiken ga nai to iu dake de, kanojo ha saiyou sare nai.
Just because she has no experience, she has been turned down

2. 成績がよくないと言うだけで、私は親に叱られて、ゲームをしないように禁止されています。
seiseki ga yoku nai to iu dake de, watashi ha oya ni shikarare te, gēmu o shi nai you ni kinshi sare te i masu.
Just because my bad result, my parents scold and forbid me from playing game.

3. 2分ぐらい遅刻したというだけで、私はその大切な授業に出席できない。
ni fun gurai chikoku shi ta to iu dake de, watashi ha sono taisetsu na jugyou ni shusseki deki nai.
Just because I was 2 minute late, I was not allowed to come in.

4. 大したことない約束をやぶったというだけで、彼は私のことが大嫌いだと言っています。
taishita koto nai yakusoku o yabutta to iu dake de, kare ha watashi no koto ga daikirai da to itte i masu.
Just because I broke an unimportant promise, he said he hated me.
