Aな(remove な) だ+としても

Meaning and how to use :

1. Express “as a, in that place…also”. This structure also means “beside the subject, there are also people or oganization stand in the position, are in the same status or have the similar viewpoint”
Only used with : N+としても

For example

Jajj i toshite mo kono jiken ha kaiketsu nikui.
Despite being a judge, this court case its not easy to handle.

shiriai toshite mo konnani hidoi koto o shi te dame desu yo.
Although as a accquaintance, you mustn’t behave like that.

2. Describe even when things in the first clause of a sentence occurs, the other in the latter clause isn’t affected. What occurs in the latter clause, is usually stand opposite to what in the first clause. There are cases that event in in the second clause happens at the same time with one in the first clause, but sometimes latter.

For example

oya ha shi nai hou ga ii to itta toshite mo, watashi ha kono shigoto o suru to kimeru.
Though my parent told me should not do this, but i did

ryuugaku shi te kareshi o hanareru toshite mo, dekirudake mainichi denwa o shi masu.
Although I study far away from my boy friend, I try to phone him everyday.

3. Structure:…はいいとしても…. Describe we can think about event in the first clause in a way that we can not do that with event in the second clause. The second clause usually consists of bad evaluation. This pattern is used to compair 2 events.

For example

haha ha ii toshite mo chichi ha zettai ni doui shi te kure nai.
Though my mom allows me to go, my father won’t.

kono mise ha ryouri ga oishii toshite mo, funiki ga yoku nai.
Although this restaurant serves good food, but the asmostphere there isnt so great.
